Lifestyle changes and non-medication alternatives
There is limited clinical evidence that lifestyle and non-medication treatments improve menopause symptoms. However, they may make symptoms more tolerable for some women while improving general health. Such options include:
- Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
- Hypnosis
- Maintaining a healthy weight
- Controlling your temperature
- Avoiding triggers such as certain foods, alcohol and smoking.
